Pune-based startup Tork Motors has added a new riding mode to its flagship electric motorcycle, the Kratos R, in an attempt to increase its maximum riding range. In addition to the already-existing three riding modes – Eco, City and Sport, the Tork Kratos R now also gets a new Eco+ riding mode. Positioned below the Eco mode, the new Eco+ riding mode allows the rider to have a top speed of 35 kmph and a maximum riding range of 180 km.

While the Eco riding mode offers a range of 120 km, the City mode has a maximum range of 100 km. The Sport mode, in which the Kratos R reaches its top speed of 105 kmph, has a range of 70 km. It is worth noting that Tork Motors claims an IDC-tested range of 180 km in the Eco+ riding mode. Though, the real-world range will be around 150 km in this new mode.
Tork Motors has announced that in addition to the new batches of Kratos R produced from now on, even existing customers of the motorcycle can get this riding mode via a software update. Despite this new update, the price of the Tork Kratos R remains unchanged at Rs 1,67,499 (ex-showroom, including subsidies and home charger).
In addition to the three riding modes already on offer – Eco, City and Sport, the Tork Kratos R is now offered with a new Eco+ riding mode. With its new mode the motorcycle claims 180 km of range, its highest ever. Apart from this new riding mode, there are no other changes to the Kratos R, with it continuing to have a 4.5kW electric motor and a 4kWh battery.
