Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Launched In India At Rs 10.30 Lakh

The new Suzuki V-Strom 800DE has arrived as a replacement model for the ageing V-Strom 650.
- The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE competes with Honda Transalp, BMW F 850 GS and Triumph Tiger 900.
- It is powered by a liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, 776cc engine that claims 84.3 PS and 76 Nm.

A few weeks after unveiling at Bharat Mobility Global Auto Expo 2024, Suzuki launched its new middleweight adventure tourer, the V-Strom 800DE, in India. A replacement for the now-discontinued V-Strom 650, the new Suzuki V-Strom 800DE has been launched at Rs 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

Featuring an all-new, sharper design with larger dimensions than the V-Strom 650, the new Suzuki V-Strom 800DE gets features like all-LED lighting, a 5-inch full-TFT instrument console, four riding modes, bi-directional quick-shifter, dual-channel ABS and three-level traction control. It is powered by the same liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, 776cc engine offered in the GSX-8S and GSX-8R on sale globally.
The new V-Strom 800DE also has a kerb weight of 230 kg and a seat height of 855mm. While this new Suzuki adventure tourer gets inverted telescopic forks at the front and mono-shock at the rear, its braking setup includes dual discs at the front and a single disc at the rear.
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE will be on sale in three colours – Champion Yellow no. 2, Glass Sparkle Black and Glass Matte Mechanical Grey. At Rs 10.30 lakh, the new V-Strom 800DE undercuts all its direct rivals like Honda Transalp, BMW F 850 GS and Triumph Tiger 900.
