Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R To Launch In India On January 1, 2024

The updated Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R will arrive with a revised front end with redesigned headlamps and BS6 stage-II compliant engine.
- The new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R claims similar power and torque outputs compared to the BS4-spec version.
- The suspension, brakes, and tyres also remain unchanged.

After unveiling for the first time in India at the recently-concluded India Bike Week 2023, Kawasaki will be officially launching the ZX-6R middleweight supersport motorcycle on 1 January 2024. Kawasaki has uploaded a teaser image of the upcoming Ninja ZX-6R on its social media handles, confirming the launch date of the motorcycle on New Year's Eve.

Compared to its previous version sold in India, the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R gets tweaks to its design, especially at the front, where it gets a revised fairing with redesigned LED headlamps. The inline-four, 636cc engine of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is now BS6 compliant but continues to claim 130 PS of maximum power and 69 Nm of maximum torque. The motorcycle is equipped with dual-channel ABS, bi-directional quick-shifter, riding modes, and traction control.
The mechanical setup under the skin of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R remains unchanged, with it getting Showa separate function inverted forks at the front and a gas-charged mono-shock at the rear, both of which are fully adjustable. The supersport motorcycle also has a 120/70 ZR17 front and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tyre, with dual 310mm discs at the front and a 220mm single disc at the rear for braking.
Expected to be pricier than its previous version, the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R will compete with Aprilia RS 660 in the middleweight supersport category.
