Ather 450 Apex, Ather’s New Sporty Scooter Teased outlines Ather Energy's new customer initiatives, including strategic banking partnerships, competitive financing plans, and flexible ownership options designed for prospective EV buyers.

It’ll likely have a top speed of more than 100kmph

  • The scooter will be here towards early 2024
  • The brand has also said that it’ll have some best-in-class features, quite a bold claim to make
  • We think it could even get cruise control and ABS

Within just a week of the social media proclamation, Ather has tantalized electric scooter enthusiasts with a sneak peek of its forthcoming innovation – the 450 Apex. The buzz surrounding this electric marvel has intensified as riders who had the privilege of experiencing the Ather 450 Apex firsthand share their awe-inspiring encounters in a recently released video.

Early indications suggest that the Apex is poised to deliver an unparalleled performance, surpassing even the impressive benchmarks set by its predecessor, the 450X.

To put this into perspective, the Ather 450X, with its current capabilities, boasts a remarkable 0-40kmph acceleration in a claimed 3.3 seconds and a top speed reaching 90kmph. The anticipation builds as enthusiasts anticipate whether the Apex will outshine these already impressive numbers.

Envisaging the 450 Apex, expectations are high that it will retain the 3.7kWh battery pack, with speculations revolving around a tuned motor to extract enhanced performance compared to the 6.4kW peak power output seen in the 450X's 3.7kWh variant. Feature-wise, the 450 Apex might incorporate additions such as cruise control and, at the very least, single-channel ABS.

In terms of pricing, projections suggest that the 450 Apex could be priced around Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru, including FAME 2 subsidy), indicating a modest premium of Rs 10,000 over the existing 3.7kWh variant. The wait for enthusiasts won't be too prolonged, with Ather confirming the 450 Apex's imminent arrival in early 2024. Positioned to compete with rivals like the Ola S1 Pro, Simple One, and the TVS X, the 450 Apex promises to redefine the electric scooter landscape.

Ather’s sporty scooters have been a force to reckon with. Their combination of performance and reliability is something that no one in the market has quite been able to reach. So now that the brand has teased a new scooter which will have even more performance, what could it be? Let’s find out:
