Ola S1X launch on August 15: Claims to end the ICE age, Check all details and expected price

While Ola Electric will start the deliveries of the S1 Air on August 15th, the brand is all set to pull off a surprise by launching an even more affordable scooter below it. Touted to be called Ola S1X, the new affordable electric scooter was teased at a recent public event by Ola Electric.

The new S1X electric scooter was showcased as the most affordable model to be priced below the S1 Air, which has been introduced as a more affordable alternative to the range-topping S1 Pro while replacing the standard S1. It indicates that the new Ola S1X will be priced below Rs 1 lakh mark, considering that the S1 Air is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh.

With this more cost-effective solution targeted at budget-conscious buyers, the new Ola S1X will take on similarly-priced 110cc scooters like the Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter and Hero Maestro Edge 110. As claimed by Ola Electric, the new S1X will ‘kill’ the ICE (internal combustion engine) age with its competitive pricing and practical range.

The teaser of the new Ola S1X shown at the event hints that it will retain the cutesy look of the other models in the S1 range. The technical details are also under wraps for now, though the scooter is expected to deliver a range of around 100 km.
