News by Team Drivio | 4 May 2023
Bajaj has been at the forefront of the sales charts when it comes to the month-on-month increase in sales.
- The Splendors sold the most among all the two-wheelers.
- In fact, they accounted for more than 60% of Hero’s total sales.
- Honda’s increase could have been due to the competitively-priced Shine 100.
Monthly sales numbers for the top six manufacturers in the Indian two-wheeler market for the first month of FY2024 (April 2023-March 2024) have been released, and here's how each did.
Hero Sales: 3,86,184 units
What do we even say about this brand. The Splendor Plus has been setting sales charts on fire almost ever since it was launched and continues to do so even now. Apart from that, the HF Deluxe and the Passion Pro have been selling extremely well too.
Honda Sales: 3,38,289 units
The Shine 125 has been dominating the 125cc sales since forever. In fact, now with the introduction of the Shine 100, we expect Honda to dominate the sales charts even more. It’ll, in fact, be interesting to see how well it does against the Hero Splendor.
TVS Sales: 2,32,956 units
TVS’ Apache series of bikes, especially the RTR 160 and 200 4V have been the best-selling bikes in its portfolio.
Bajaj Sales: 1,81,828 units
The Pulsar NS125 and Pulsar 125 have sold more than any other Bajaj bike in this period. Now that the Pulsar 220 F is no more, it’s these Pulsars that sell like hot cakes.
Royal Enfield Sales: 68,881 units
Royal Enfield has the evergreen Classic 350 and the Hunter 350 in its best-selling portfolio for India.
Suzuki Sales: 67,259 units
Suzuki’s most popular motorcycles in India include the Access 125, Burgman Street and the Gixxer series. The relatively newer V-Strom SX has slowly been doing well too.
