Bengaluru-based Ather Energy has opened pre-launch bookings for its 450 Apex electric scooters in India. Carrying a price tag of Rs 1.8 lakh, deliveries of the tech-laden scooter will commence from March 2024.

Striking Design Language

The 450 Apex will sport Ather’s distinctive style with angular lines and neat sculpting. Signature lighting elements like the LED headlamp and DRLs make their appearance lending a hi-tech look. The exposed metal finish on the sides adds to the premium appeal.

Zippy Performance, Extensive Connectivity

Ather’s 450 Power Pack will power the scooter, delivering 8 hp and 25 Nm of instant torque. Performance is peppy allowing 0-40 kph in 3.3 seconds. The scooter will come with 4G connectivity and Bluetooth mobile sync allowing seamless integration with the Ather App. Features like OTA updates, multiple riding modes, guide-me-home lights, and more can be accessed via the app.

Safe and Comfortable Ride

Safety tech comprises CBS, crash alert, and park assist functions. The scooter rides on 12-inch wheels wrapped in grippy tubeless tires. The suspension includes telescopic forks upfront, and a mono-shock at the rear promising a refined ride. The scooter packs in a compact and ergonomic design with generous floorboard space and back support.

Charging Convenience

The 450 Apex will be compatible with Ather’s fast charging connector letting owners use Ather Grid points for quick charging. Home charging is also facilitated via a standard 5A socket. Charge time will be around 5 hours 45 minutes for a full charge while fast charging will deliver a range of 20-30 km in 15 minutes.

With striking looks, generous features, and accessible pricing, the 450 Apex targets mainstream electric scooter buyers in India. Its bookings are now open at Rs 1.8 lakh while deliveries will begin in March 2024.
