TVS has officially launched the X electric scooter after generating excitement through several teasers. With a price tag of Rs 2.50 lakh, the TVS X now holds the title of the most expensive electric scooter available in the Indian market.
Under the sleek exterior of the X lies a potent 4.4kWh battery, capable of propelling the scooter for up to 140 km on a single charge. This battery is seamlessly integrated into a twin-spar frame, supported by a telescopic fork and a monoshock, ensuring a comfortable ride.
Charging options include the Smart X Home rapid charger, renowned for its ability to replenish the battery from 0 to 50 percent within a mere 50 minutes (a 3 kW fast charger is available as an optional add-on). Alternatively, users can opt for the 950W portable charger, which takes approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes to charge it from 0 to 80 percent.
The X is ridden by a robust PMSM motor, capable of delivering an impressive peak power of 11kW (with a continuous power output of 7kW) and a peak torque of 40Nm. Braking duties are effectively handled by a 220mm front disc and a 195mm rear disc.
It boasts a sizable 10.25-inch TFT display, which can be adjusted to suit the rider's preferred angle. This expansive display hosts an array of features, including Bluetooth connectivity for music playback and navigation alerts.
With its premium features and performance, the TVS X commands a price of Rs 2.50 lakh, making it the most expensive electric scooter currently available. Notably, the scooter does not benefit from the FAME-II subsidy.
