Hero Previews Xoom 160 and Xoom 125R in India, Launch Soon

The two all-new scooters from Hero MotoCorp were previewed at the launch event of the Mavrick 440 and Xtreme 125R.

  • Both Xoom 160 and Xoom 125R feature all-new single-cylinder engines from Hero MotoCorp. 
  • The Hero Xoom 160 is a tall adventure scooter with 14-inch wheels and a central spine, which makes it a direct rival to the Yamaha Aerox 155.
  • The Hero Xoom 125R is an edgy-looking scooter with modern features, likely to compete with TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Dio 125, Yamaha RayZR 125 and Suzuki Avenis 125. 

Hero MotoCorp surprised many by showcasing two new scooters – Xoom 160 and Xoom 125R – at the EICMA 2023. Now, besides launching the all-new Mavrick 440 and Xtreme 125R motorcycles, Hero also showcased the new Xoom 160 and Xoom 125R at the launch event. This indicates their possible launch in the Indian market soon. After their official launch, the Xoom 160 will compete with the Yamaha Aerox and Aprilia SR160, while the Xoom 125R will be up against the TVS Ntorq 125 in the segment.

Starting with the more powerful and larger of the two, the Hero Xoom 160 is an adventure scooter with a 156cc liquid-cooled engine. This unique-looking scooter has a tall stance, complemented by 14-inch alloy wheels with dual-purpose tyres. The Xoom 160 also gets premium features like i3S idle start-stop technology, split LED headlamps, full-LCD instrument console and remote seat opening.

The Hero Xoom 125R is expected to replace the now-discontinued Hero Maestro Edge 125 and is an edgier-looking scooter designed on the lines of 110cc Xoom. It has a sharp-looking design with modern features like sequential LED turn indicators, LED headlamp and tail lamp and Bluetooth-enabled full-LCD instrument console.
