Despite the arrival of a more modern Bajaj Pulsar F250, the demand for the Bajaj Pulsar 220F was still strong in many corners of India.
- Authorized dealers have started receiving the new batches of Bajaj Pulsar 220F.
- The motorcycle remains unchanged with no alterations to its styling and mechanicals.
- The only expected change in the Pulsar 220F is the inclusion of an OBD-2 system to make it BS-VI Stage-II compliant.
Bajaj Auto has decided to bring back the popular Pulsar 220F in the Indian two-wheeler market. The semi-faired sports bike was recently spied in a few dealer stockyards, indicating its launch in a few days.
What are the changes in the new Bajaj Pulsar 220F?
There are no major visual changes in the new Pulsar 220F. The motorcycle continues to have the same semi-faired design based on the first-generation Bajaj Pulsar 150, which is still thriving strongly in the Indian market.
For the comeback version, Bajaj Auto has retained the four-stroke, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, 220cc engine (20.11 bhp/18.55 Nm). However, the engine will now get the much-needed OBD-2 system to make it compliant with the BS-6 Stage-II emission norms.
Why is the Bajaj Pulsar 220F back in the market?
Since its launch, the Pulsar 220F has remained one of the most desirable and highest-selling models from Bajaj Auto. Even after the launch of the new-gen Bajaj Pulsar F250, the demand for bringing back the Pulsar 220F was high from Tier II, Tier III cities.
When it was discontinued in 2022, the Pulsar 220F was priced at Rs 1.34 lakh. With the addition of the OBD-2 system, the new Bajaj Pulsar 220F is expected to be tagged at Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
