Overview

The GT 750 is a café racer with a 743cc parallel-twin, shown in faired and unfaired forms. Power, price and launch date are unconfirmed. We cover the confirmed facts, a transparent fuel-cost model, petrol prices with verification dates, a rival comparison, the ownership-cost components still pending, and practical mileage tips.

Royal Enfield unveiled the bike at EICMA 2026 in Milan, but final power and torque have not been revealed and no launch date is set. The same 743cc engine makes 55hp and 63Nm in the Himalayan 750. The GT 750’s output is unconfirmed.

Claimed versus tested and owner-reported mileage

No GT 750 figures exist in any category. The nearest benchmark is the GT 650:

24–25 kmpl

Expect the larger, likely more powerful GT 750 to land near or below these figures. That is an inference, not a measurement.

City, highway, touring and mixed mileage

Segment-wise GT 750 data does not exist. I have not invented splits. For planning, this article uses 24 kmpl as a mixed-use assumption, the low end of GT 650 owner reports. Highway cruising usually helps efficiency and dense traffic hurts it, but we cannot quantify that for the GT 750. This section should be updated after independent tests.

Comparison with similar bikes

Rival mileage figures are ARAI claims. Costs use Delhi petrol at ₹102.12 and 12,000 km a year.

The comparison is unequal. Rivals use claimed figures and the GT 750 uses a conservative real-world assumption, so real savings would be smaller. The 650 twins cluster closely, so the gap only matters against smaller single-cylinder bikes.

Integrating Drivio’s mileage comparator

Once data exists, Drivio can add:

  • A GT 750 entry with a “claimed” or “assumed” label on each figure

  • Side-by-side GT 750, GT 650 and Interceptor 650 views

  • City-specific petrol inputs with a visible verification date

  • Daily-distance sliders matching the 10–100 km scenarios above

Relevant Drivio pages to connect from this article are the Royal Enfield vehicle listings, the mileage comparator and the financing page.

Tips to improve mileage

  • Hold steady throttle, and shift up early on a 750cc twin’s torque

  • Keep tyre pressure at the manufacturer’s recommended level

  • Service the bike on schedule, including air filter and chain tension

  • Avoid hard acceleration, the main cause of lower owner-reported figures

  • Trim unnecessary weight

Conclusion

The GT 750 suits riders who want café-racer styling and 750cc character, not the lowest running cost. At our assumed 24 kmpl it costs about ₹1.30 more per kilometre than a KTM 390 Duke on claimed figures. That is roughly ₹16,000 a year at 12,000 km. Riders covering 10–30 km daily will find fuel a small part of ownership. Those covering 60–100 km daily will feel the difference more, as will anyone choosing between the GT 750 and the GT 650. Wait for the launch price and independent tests before committing.

Royal Enfield has not announced an official mileage for the Continental GT 750, so any quoted figure is a guess. This article uses the GT 650’s claimed and owner-reported numbers as a clearly labelled planning assumption. It calculates monthly fuel costs in four cities, compares rivals on cost per kilometre and explains which costs cannot be quoted until price and launch details arrive.
