Even 100cc commuters haven’t sold as much as the TVS Raider.

  • It is powered by a peppy 125cc air-cooled engine with 11.38PS and 11.2Nm.
  • Raider is the first 125cc bike to have various riding modes.
  • Underpinnings include a telescopic fork and a mono-shock.

The TVS Raider 125 has now sold more than 3 lakh units in India. The bike debuted in our market on September 16, 2021, and almost 19 months later, it has surpassed a significant sales threshold. Industry reports indicate that the Raider 125 bike is trailing the popular TVS NTorq in terms of sales.

By the end of March 2023, the company had shipped 3,16,130 domestic units in a span of more than 19 months. It comprises 76,742 units in the last seven months of FY2022, and 2,39,388 units in FY2023 overall. The company claims that the Raider accounted for 26% of the 9,10,376 motorcycles sold overall in FY2023. Let's examine the factors that might have influenced this bike's sales in our market.

The TVS Raider 125's soaring sales in India may be due to a number of factors. One of them is being the only model in the 125cc motorbike category, aside from the Bajaj Pulsar NS125, to provide the monoshock in our market. The bike's athletic-looking appearance is another element that could have increased sales.

The company claims that it offers greater sportiness compared to the traditional looks of its rivals, which may contribute significantly to its sales volume. TVS Motor Company unveiled the top-of-the-line Raider 125 in October 2022, complete with a 5-inch TFT instrument panel. For those who don't know, the Raider 125's base model sports a digital LCD screen.

It sports a 124.8cc engine that can produce 11.38PS and 11.2Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
