Triumph Scrambler 400X Launched In India, Prices And Specs Revealed

Yet another addition to the British automaker’s affordable line-up based on the TR series, the Triumph Scrambler 400X shares similarities with the Speed 400. 

• The 398 cc single-cylinder engine generates up to 40 PS of power and 37.5 Nm of torque. 
• Triumph Scrambler 400X comes with decent off-roading features, including long-travel suspensions. 
• The bike is priced at Rs 2.63 lakh (ex-showroom). 

Following the success of Triumph Speed 400, Triumph Motorcycles has rolled out another budget motorcycle in partnership with Bajaj Auto –Triumph Scrambler 400X. Manufactured entirely in India by Bajaj, the Scrambler 400X is priced at Rs. 2.63 lakhs (ex-showroom) and shares a lot of similarities with the Speed 400. 

The bike comes in three color options – Matt Khaki Green and Fusion White, Carnival Red and Phantom Black, and Phantom Black and Silver Ice.  The Scrambler 400X is pitted against the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, Bajaj Dominar 400, and others.

Triumph Scrambler 400X Specification Details 

The new TR series-based bike is powered by a 398.15 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers a peak torque of 40 PS, alongside 40 PS of max power. The engine is mated with a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch, while the ride-by-wire throttle ensures increased fuel efficiency and more precise controls.

It’s the Triumph Scrambler 400X’s off-road-worthy hardware and components that set it apart from the Speed 400. The bike boasts a long-travel suspension setup with 150mm of travel at both ends. Both the front and rear wheels are equipped with dual-purpose block design tyres. Together with the switchable traction control, ABS, adjustable handlebars, and 195mm of ground clearance, these features make the Scrambler 400X a great choice.
