Is there a new variant of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 in the works?
- A test mule of Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Supernova was seen with spoke wheels instead of alloy wheels.
- The black-themed parts, like the engine and headlamp, are replaced by shining chrome-finished bits.
- This new variant might launch as a more affordable alternative to the current model.
Recently, a test mule of the top-spec Supernova variant of Royal Enfield Meteor 350 was seen with a few changes, indicating that a new version of the motorcycle is soon to hit the market. Compared to the alloy wheels offered in the now-on-sale Meteor 350, the test mule had spoke wheels.
Another significant change seen in the Royal Enfield Meteor 350's test mule is the replacement of all black-themed parts on the current model with shining chrome bits. Currently, all the variants of the Meteor 350 come with a blacked-out headlamp cowl and engine. However, these parts had chrome finish in the test mule of the Meteor 350.
It is reported that this test mule of the Meteor 350 was seen with LED illumination for the headlamp. Royal Enfield recently updated the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 with LED headlamps, and the new Meteor 350 version is expected to get the same LED headlamp as standard across its variant lineup.
The Meteor 350 is currently on sale between Rs 2,04,408 and Rs 2,25,533. This new variant spied on the test looks like it is based on the Supernova. Given the presence of cost-effective bits like spoke wheels and tube-type tyres, it is expected to arrive as a more affordable version. It is worth watching if the lower-spec Fireball and Stellar variants will get this new version.
